We apologize but the Cat-Nip Vouchers are no longer available. The vouchers already issued will be honored but the grant money for that program has to be used to subsidize the low-cost surgeries at SpaySA preventing the appointments going to $35.00 per cat. We were able to find enough money to keep the cost down to $20 for a while but if more funds are not generated soon, the Trap, Neuter, Return program in San Antonio is in serious jeopardy. It's time the San Antonio City Council allocated funds specifically to help keep the costs down for residents willing to do this community work. If the outdoor cat population continues to be ignored, this city can never attain the No-Kill status it has set as a goal.
Please write to the San Antonio council members requesting they budget money for the feral cat program. We need the reinstatement of the $10.00 appointments at SpaySA or better still, why can't San Antonio follow the lead of other cities where the Trap, Neuter, Return program has been successful and provide free appointments for feral cat surgeries?
